From Alumni Board President, Marie-Noëlle Pierce '85

As one can see from the numbers at the Paris launch event, our European-based alums were incredibly enthusiastic about getting together. In light of this new-found excitement, we hope to focus more of our attention "across the pond" so that alums can keep in touch and create more reunions on their own. In New York, alumni activity continues to be strong. With the support of the school and its Alumni Board, class captains Christine Auclair, Alessandra Kelmans de Bozzo and Stephany Morrell organized a double-header reunion in New York and Paris for the classes of '79 - '80. In this newsletter you will find a photo essay of this wonderful gathering.
It is so fulfilling to be able to assist alumni in getting their "promos" together. These alums' love and support of the school allow them to go back in time, keep in touch, renew friendships and also to give back. To that end, the Lycee has developed an entity called French Friends of the LFNY in Paris. In this newsletter you will find an interview with Juliette Timsit, one of the founders and board members of this very useful new fund. I hope that the "French Friends fund" will appeal to the European community and eventually lead to a group all its own of committed alums.
In the coming months, we look forward to many more impressive events to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the school. The 75th Anniversary Gala is less than a month away! For more information on this spectacular event, click on www.lfnygala.org. And please read on for descriptions of the two upcoming 75th Anniversary Speaker Series lectures at the end of this month and in April. We hope to see you in droves for these fascinating, fun and free events. Happy 75th, LFNY!
