LA RENTREE    The Lycée's 74th Back-to-school
On September 3rd and 4th, the Lycée opened its doors for the 74th back-to-school in its history, and the 7th in its new building. The Lycée welcomed a total of 1369 students from 47 different countries, out of which 231 were new to the school. For many new students, they are not only starting at a new school, but are new to the city, and even new to the country. A sincere welcome to them and a happy back-to-school for everyone!

CULTURAL CENTER    Movie Nights are Back!
The Lycée's movie nights--free for alumni and their guests--are back this year, with the first movie, Welcome by Philippe Lioret, scheduled for Wednesday, October 7th. Bilal, age 17, a Kurish refugee is now in the midst of a journey to England to join the woman he loves by swimming across the English Channel. In Calais, he meets lifeguard Simon, who takes Bilal under his wing and secretly teaches the young refugee how to swim. A smoothly crafted, emotionally affecting drama driven by powerful performances, focuses on illegal immigrants and the risks taken by the people who help them.
The remaining movie nights this year have been tentatively scheduled for November 4, and December 2.
